In the spirit of the holiday season, I wanted to share something I’m thankful for.
Among my first supporters in my desire to be a meteorologist were my classmates and teachers in seventh grade at Chippens Hill Middle School in Bristol, Connecticut.
One day, in January 2005, a forecast of mine was passed around in Derek Freimuth’s science class. Yes, paper! This was before social media.
Everyone signed it.
Fast forward almost 13 years, through high school, Penn State and my first few television jobs, and here we are.
This may only be an old sheet of paper, but it means a lot to me – and I am forever grateful.
